The ground beneath the mountain
Gradually decays and falls away
As the earth pulls back,
Stripping its heaven reaching power.
Erode, Corrosion, Rusted sword, Sedate, Regenerate, Home, Hopefulness, Assurance

Line 1
Stripping the structure of its feet Erodes its support and fundamental Qi. The man has no mother. Disregard your soul, remain unmoving, And disaster will surely follow.
Line 2
Cut it into pieces; Reveal the Qi just beneath the surface. Disregard your soul, remain unmoving, And disaster will surely follow.
Line 3
Cut it at the heart; Reveal the Qi at its center And study it closely.
Line 4
Strip away the covering of the moment And its sacred purpose will disappear.
Line 5
Present a gift of strung fish to the court And favorable Qi will abound
Among the beautiful women who gather there.
Line 6
Behold!
A ripe fruit remains uneaten.
Surely, a great man gains much By embracing the Qi of restraint.
The small men, however, Tear at themselves for food.
