The lake bird lands on the lake's edge
And calls out for all to hear.
With one leg raised and wings spread,
It rests on the breeze.

Alchemic Wisdom — Yao Tsi (Line Verses)
Line 1
Embrace the Qi of solitude And the wisdom of repose.
Alone, you are abundant.
With others you will be sparse.
Line 2
Reach out with your Qi And fortify what is in front of you. Harmonize your inner family And share your gifts.
Line 3
Confused and uncertain Qi
Gathers around you.
Should you sing or keep silent?
Do you beat a drum or remain seated?
Frozen action brings great sadness.
Line 4
The receptive Yin is almost at hand.
Squeeze the capsule and change directions.
Exercise freedom of choice And you choose freedom.
Line 5
The Qi of sincerity attracts the Qi of life.
There will be no missteps.

Your will dissipates
As your spirit becomes thin and airy.
There is calamity as far as the crow flies.
